Eastrop Park - boating pond
Basingstoke has a really great model boating pond.
Situated at Eastrop Park, opposite the business gateway leading into town and two minutes away from the M3 motorway.
There are two ponds, the model boat pond is the smaller of the two, to the Eastern end of the park with an adjacent car park just a few yards away.
Families can enjoy many park leisure facilities, with rowing boats, a paddling pond, band stand, and a play area within this well maintained leisure area. It’s only a few minutes walk into the vibrant Festival Place shopping centre for wives and daughters.

Basingstoke Model Boat Club
A diverse group of modellers bring yachts, scale models, steam boats, renowned kits or simple/complex scratch built craft. Add to this families, sons and husbands with all manner of boats, purchased from the Town’s model shop, specialist shops, the Internet or retrieved from the attic after having a dormant hobby rekindled following a visit to this great boating pond.
