HMS Warspite Model Battleship by Colin Vass

A notable feature of the 2010 International Model Boat Show at Warwick was this spectacular model. Around 7 feet in length, the model has taken Colin 10 years to build, features a 24 channel radio, weighs in at a whopping 86kg and must be quite a handfull to launch!

Last year’s show featured a similar sized model by the Portsmouth Model Boat club, though it didn’t have a fraction of the detail in this model. That model was built by a number of the club’s members and would fit in the back of an estate car.
