A great boating pond, welcoming members and some magnificent models await you!

With the Fairey Huntsman being the most popular club model, we will feature as many of these as we can. (If you have one, bring it to the pond to be photographed or contact us with a picture) There must be at least 10 of these belonging to club members. Based on a 1960’s wooden boat, with marine ply featuring in the cabin roof overhang, it is incredibly popular with model model makers across the country. The most popular kits are by Anglia Models who have a 34” and 48” model with the choice of a wooden full build or a plastic pre formed hull. On the water, the models sail really well and though more or less to scale, everyone uses a little poetic licence in finishing the model. The model on the left is mine and the other one is Charlie’s.
